The lodge lays the high school’s cornerstone

On November 9, 1925, Reagan Lodge No. 1037 conducted the cornerstone ceremony for John H. Reagan Senior High School at Thirteenth and Arlington, under the direction of the Grand Lodge of Texas. Boy Scouts saluted the flag and a junior high student delivered an address on the life of John H. Reagan.

Lodge and school shared a namesake and, from that afternoon on, a bond. The lodge’s Worshipful Master that year, C. C. Powell, presided during the ceremony.
