A temple is announced, three years early

In May 1927, under Worshipful Master M. Mankins, the lodge called a special meeting for Saturday, June 4, to lay the cornerstone for a proposed new Heights Masonic Temple at Eleventh and Harvard. The building project had begun in earnest, then paused.

The grand temple would wait three more years for its famous 1930 cornerstone. The 1927 call survives as proof of how long the ambition had been building.
